Sadly the Stagelights has decided to disband after 10 glorious years and well over 30 productions. In that time of course we have amassed a considerable amount of lighting and sound equipment, stage scenery and props, a set of drums, ladders and various other items, that we now have to get rid of.
As the scenery and props are in our garage and we have to clear it out pretty quickly we have decided that on Wednesday the 4th of January 2012 we will be available, at the garage, from 1p.m. to 4p.m. for anyone who would like to come and relieve us of any of it that they would like. We have a number of 8ft X 4ft flats that have been used only once. A large set of wooden scenery steps approximately 4ft high and 4ft wide. And various other bits of scenery. Anything that is not taken will be disposed of at the local tip. The garage is at 46, Poplar Road, Hanham. Please ring me on 07866806964 when you arrive so I can point you in the right direction of the garage, as it is not obvious when you get there.
The rest of the technical equipment and various props (see list below) will be sold off on Monday 23rd January at Wesley Memorial Church Hall, Bryant’s hill, St George, as from 7.30p.m. To sell these items we have decided to let would be purchasers put a sealed bid on any item they are interested in then at 8.30p.m. the bids will be opened and the highest bidder will win the item. All items must be paid for at the sale and removed from the premises that same night.
All equipment is in good working order, and indeed, some of it is brand new but nonethe less it is all 'sold as seen'.

A large aluminium combination ladder that can be used as an ‘A’ or extended to reach very much higher. It’s in tiptop condition

there are 10 rungs on each of the three pieces
while closed as an a frame it is 3 meters high
as an a frame with the extra piece extended it reaches to 5.9 meters
with all three pieces stretched out into one length it reaches 6.9 meters
A smaller 5 step aluminium step ladder, the platform is 3' 4" off the floor.
There are other smaller various items such as tankards, hand instruments, old style telephones and much more that will be on display on the night, including a large amount of costumes of various shapes and sizes, a very small nominal payment per item would be acceptable for these.
Some come along and grab your club a bargain!
All monies raised at this sale will be going to various charities.
Tea and coffee will be freely available.
