Alex & Brian just checking... Now where did those blasted lights get to?
Mark's at the top nailing each strand on and Vivs ready to catch the hammer,
See, you didn't believe me! each strand!!!
The show was a tremendous success for all concerned. The scenery was fantastic, and with our new glitter slit drapes and the two columns and arch way it looked very sumptuous indeed. The costumes were exceedingly good, with a great variety of colour and design. Brenda Harris, who is our 'Mrs Wardrobe' can take the full accolade for how the cast looked on stage and how it all added to the thrill of the show, and because of all Brenda's hard work the audience were treated to a visual feast of delight.
I am very pleased to report that prompting was almost non existent, with no more than 3 prompts on any show so it just goes to prove that all the hard work in the early stages paid dividends, and the whole thing was enjoyed by the cast as much as the audience. Maureen Foot and Rachel Williams, did a fantastic job in keeping everyone on key and on time and with the new key board added a wonderful accompaniment to the show. Rachel and Beth Veitch also played the drums for us too. Alex and Brian lit us up and kept the whole show sparkling and dazzling beautifully, and Brian kept the sound going for us with much dexterity so everyone could hear what it was we were singing and saying.
Thanks must go to Allen and Madeleine Bills for being our two Emcees for the shows and keeping it all together and swinging along nice and smoothly, and at half time, Viv and Ingrid fed the masses with a lovely ploughman's lunch type supper on the evening shows, and a cream tea on the Sunday matinee, much to the audiences delight.
Thanks also to Brenda Whitham for coming all the way from Burnley to help out with selling the sweets, not to mention Melanie Balch and Ralph Tilton for coping with front of house and Joan Moreman for looking after the raffle tickets for us. Shelley O'Callaghan did a splendid job in making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time, and wearing a microphone at the right times as well, not an easy job, but one she managed with great dexterity. I would also like to thank Ricky O'Callaghan for filming the show and producing a dvd for us and also helping where possible with the building and breaking of the set along with Pete Coles who came to help our very capable Stage Manager Mark Veitch. Our Props lady Debbie Fox did a great job with finding and supplying the props for the show and also being Mark's right hand during the show. I'm sure there must be someone I've missed out here, but rest assured, with out all these people the show would not have been half as good as it was.

All in all, the comments that we have received would prove that it was a tremendous production and was well enjoyed by everyone, and many are already looking forward to coming to the next production 'Sinbad', our 2008 Pantomime, the tickets for which will very soon be on sale, watch the news page for more news.
